Exciting Events in Helena this May: There are so many!

First, May 3rd: Vigilante Parade at high noon! It’s the 100th Vigilante parade, the oldest running high school parade in the country, begins at high noon on May 3rd in downtown Helena! This beloved and special tradition continues each year only with the generous support of our community. Learn more about its history here.

May 4th : World’s Migratory Bird Day celebrated at Montana Wild – FWP for this year’s from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. This is the second year in a row that Montana WILD has hosted the event. “We think Montana WILD is a great location for the event,” said Montana WILD Program Manager Corie Bowditch. “It is central to town, has indoor and outdoor spaces for people to enjoy, and allows us to easily and safely feature the live raptor ambassadors from our rehabilitation center as part of the festival.”

May 10th: Downtown Helena’s Art Walk 4:00-8:00pm with Montana Raptors outside of Birds and Beasleys from 4:00-6:00!

May 11th: Saturday Bird Walks begin! Every Saturday meet at Birds and Beasleys at 7:30am, different leaders each week teaching us all about local birds. Free to all and families welcome!

May 12th: Mother’s Day! Shop for the perfect Mother’s Day Gifts with us!

Lastly, May 27th: Memorial Day – Birds and Beasleys will be closed.

May 31-June 2nd: 23rd Annual Wing Across the Big Sky Premier Birding Festival. Registration is Open. Event will be held at Carroll College.
