Snow Geese return to Freezeout Lake

The Snow Geese usually reach Freezeout Lake in early March. They arrive after a nearly 1,000 mile flight from California. The best viewing of the birds is from sunrise to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. until sunset. Binoculars are essential gear for a trip to Freezeout (we’ve got you covered).

The number to call for updated migration information is: 406-467-2646
